Tampa International Airport is on the Eastern shore of Tampa Bay, around five miles west of downtown Tampa. The airport serves more than 15.5 million passengers every year, and is used by some 23 airlines on domestic and international routes.
Travellers using Tampa Airport benefit from a number of restaurants, shops, and other amenities, and the airport boasts excellent links with most of the local resorts such as Clearwater.
Car rental is available in the arrivals hall, and buses and taxis are also available, the location of the airport means that there are many holiday hotels within a short distance of the airport.
Tampa Airport has a single terminal, which is divided into large areas and boasts a large business centre at the neighbouring Marriott Hotel, as well as several wireless Internet hotspots throughout the building.
The Galleria is the main shopping area, and includes a number of well-known outlets including Sunglass International, Sports Scene, Mindworks, and News Central.
